The 13th Annual Cypress Internal Medicine Oyster Roast (shrimp boil and pig pickin’), might look a little different this year. The Leadership Greer Class XXXVII has adopted the Greater Greer Chamber of Commerce’s annual event to benefit their class project, Play it Forward.

'Downton Abbey' costumes coming to Biltmore House

Biltmore's conservators recently debuted the first costume appearing in the exhibition, a costume worn by actress Dame Maggie Smith for her character Violet Crawley. It is on display in the Second Floor Living Hall in Biltmore.

"Dressing Downton: Changing Fashion for Changing Times," opens Feb. 5 and continues through Memorial Day, May 25, 2015 at the Biltmore House in Asheville.

The exhibition features more than 40 costumes from the PBS series "Downton Abbey." The clothing will be showcased in rooms throughout Biltmore House in groupings inspired by the fictional show and by real life at Biltmore, the Vanderbilt estate of the same era.
